Kadiv umas Polri Irjen Prabowo Argo Yuwono said that the yutisi operation was carried out in a few seconds, starting from shopping centers, crowd-prone areas and crucial areas, such as the tourism sector

“This operation aims to crack down firmly on people who violate health protocols,” said Irjen Argo at a webinar themed ‘Restoring Tourism: Health and Security Maintained, Economy Rise’, in Kuta, Bali, Saturday (12/12/2020).

According to Argo, Polri also made appeals through social media, mainstream media, and directly to the public to comply with health protocols to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

He asserted, what the Polri-TNI did was solely for the common good so that all recovered. “The economy is starting to rise so that Indonesia can return to its original state,” argo added.

Therefore, the National Police asked for public awareness and concern to jointly comply and implement health protocols in all activities outside the home to break the Covid-19 chain.

Especially for Bali, which relies on tourism as a source of income for the people, Argo asked that it be an example of the implementation of health protocols. “If the transmission rate of Covid-19 is low, tourists will feel comfortable visiting Bali,” he said.

He urged all parties to be optimistic that this pandemic can pass soon, so that it can revive a weakening economy, especially in the tourism sector that is badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The webinar, which was attended by students from several universities in the country, featured speakers from Bali Tourism District I Putu Astawa; Director of Natural, Cultural and Artificial Tourism Ministry Drs. Alexander Reyaan, M.M; Kombes Pol. Harri Sindu Nugroho (Polda Bali); and Dr. Drs. I Gusti Putu Bagus Suka Arjawa, M.Si (Dean of Fisip Udayana University Bali).

KERGANTUNG ON BALI TOURISM

Bali Tourism Chief I Putu Astawa acknowledged Bali’s dependence on tourism. There are 1.3 million people working in this sector, providing foreign exchange of Rp160 trillion.

Now, continued Astawa, the condition of Bali tourism began to move. Currently, tourist visits in Bali have reached 6,000 people per day.

Astawa ensures Bali is serious about implementing health protocols. There is even a hefty penalty for those who do not carry it out.

“We also carry out certification of tourism objects,” said Astawa.

Meanwhile, regarding the ability to handle Covid 19, Kadis Pariwisata stated, Bali has prepared various scenarios, ranging from handlers with a minimum number of patients up to 100 patients, 200 patients, and so on.

Kadis Pariwisata hopes that if international flights reopen, the flow of tourists to Bali will return to normal.

Meanwhile, Kombes Harri Sindu Nugroho from Polda Bali stated that his party conducts coordination, socialization, and enforcement in implementing health protocols.

“We urge Operation Yustisi to implement health protocols,” harri said.

Therefore, Harri continued, Polda Bali lowered many of its members in supervising the implementation of health protocols.

Dean of Fisip Udayana University I Gusti Putu Bagus Suka Arjawa acknowledged the lack of options in dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic.

If you fight there will be many casualties as the U.S. happens. Giving up is also just a matter of time to become a victim.

“So the choice is we have to be creative to find solutions how we deal with this pandemic,” said Arjawa.

Especially for Bali that relies on tourism, the Dean of Fisip Udayana University reminded that inevitably have to be creative in dealing with this pandemic.

Now, Arjawa is grateful that tourism in Bali is back squirming from the visit of Nusantara tourists. He expects the public to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols so that the positive trend of tourist visits returns to normal.
